About nifty woodworks

 

I’ve always enjoyed working with my hands--it just comes naturally and it has always been what I felt most comfortable doing. I was reminded of my passion when tasked with creating a wooden cabinet for a Christmas present for my wife’s grandmother that I have affectionately nicknamed: “the Granny cabinet.” This project took me back to my roots of when I was 15 working in a cabinetry shop in Clearfield, PA and when I was in high school in woodshop class. It lit a fire in me to design and innovate Nifty creations.

Shortly after, it seemed like the perfect time to give creating a business with my amazing wife a try. We have worked together before in college at Slippery Rock University, PA and always wanted to start a business together. Now, we’re excited to be jumping into this new opportunity to build a business we love and putting our expertise to the test by trying new and challenging wood products--everything from using reclaimed materials to new materials. Everything is handcrafted by us in our home to ensure that we provide our customers top notch products and customer service.

Michele - Michele is my wonderful wife & is the Keystone of the shop. She helps maintain and updates our social media and much more. It's safe to say that Michele is the real brains behind Nifty Woodworks.

Emma - Emma is the newest member to the shop! She brings a sassy determined attitude along with lots of joy and laughter. She is the best and most fun nifty creation Michele and I have ever made!

Hudson - Hudson is our mini dachshund with a BIG personality. He has also helped inspire us to come up with creations for our short four legged companions. He has earned the honorary titles of Chief Barking Officer & Quality Control Sniffer.
